Woah, really weird comment on my last post. A guy calling himself the_elephant seems pretty pissed about my sort-of-ageist comments. He called me wretchedly ignorant and used a lot of capslock. I think he sort of missed the point of what I was saying, though, and I don’t like being accused of discrimination. It’s not that all old people are technologically incompetent or incapable of creation, just more inclined to respect existing content/copyright channels and structures and less inclined to use technology in radical ways to benefit society and make things generally more awesome. He’s started a whole blog about it. It’s very ranty but I like that and I hope he keeps updating.

One other major thing: I’m pretty proud to be a Boston University student because somebody is challenging an RIAA lawsuit against him. He’s got real representation, so hopefully he’s got a real shot. He’s still a John Doe, so I tell him I support him over Facebook, but let’s hope he kicks their asses. More on this as it happens.
